Smitten By Love Or Just A Crush - Poetry
Love or just a crush is the question in askin',
the dilema I wish nobody to getin...
It's the question that killed me inside,
even when she's sitting just right beside...
The feelings I have for her so deep inside,
and I felt like they are so easy to hide...
3 years of school life just went in a go,
still question was the same whose answer, I still didn't know.
Best friend is what, you used to call me,
"More than a friend" I wondered could it ever be...
Then came the time we had to part our way,
Don't know why those feelings in ma heart still had 2 stay...
Few phone calls in that period,
was all that kept us close...
In the circumstances that made us apart,
for those feelings it helped as a dose....
After a year came that D- day,
On which at a phone call all those feelings I did convey...
"You took it too long" was what u said,
That answer gave a chill,down the spine which went...
Reason was that now you love someone,
and "He's" more dear to you...
Those words gave a pain soo deep inside,
for which nothing I could really do...
U said " I really want to help you"
coz u are my best friend...
To smile with tears and say"Dont worry I am fine"
was the best way i could pretend.
Today I find myself all alone,
When everything seems finished and gone...
Still you are my first love and my last,
Till the death, I'll survive with those memories of the past...
