(1) Life is Sweet
Birds reproduce chicks
They search for food
‘cause they love their chicks.
Man works hard to get knowledge,
He teaches his kids to live wisely,
They grow up better when they are taught,
They think of future to come.
Birds live to feed, but men to teach.
That’s what makes the difference.
(2) Nightingale
The winter snow thawed
But, no spring for me any longer,
The sun was warming up the waiting nature,
And all of its off springs began to bloom.
The nightingale sang out and flew towards
The Rose whom he lived with for years.
Oh, the Rose is sick, no red flowers as before,
Get up! My friend, it’s late!
Get up and let me sing the same song.
There was no reply from Rose,
It fell into the eternal sleep.
Sadly, the nightingale began to whisper,
Oh, there could be no spring for me any longer. (Mysore. 7.1.2011)
